Upcoming Serves

Elevate has four main outreaches of local compassion. On a regular basis, we send students, leaders and parents to the following places. Email elevate@willowcreek.org if you or your small group are interested in serving at one of these locations.

The Willow Creek Care Center

Elevate serves at the care center on the 1st sunday of every month from 10am – 12:30pm. This is a close and easy serving opportunity for elevate students and leaders to get involved in a very real need that our immediate community has. Students will get a chance to package food, and some will even meet with the people and help identify their needs.

Cornerstone Community Outreach

Cornerstone is a homeless shelter in the City of Chicago that serves hundreds of families who have been displaced from their homes. Families live in a number of shelters provided by the organization, and have an opportunity to receive food, shelter, and once a month access to the free store where they can find clothes, books and toys that have been donated. Elevate serves at cornerstone every 3rd saturday from 9am – 4pm serving food, cleaning up the Free Store, and providing any services that the people need on that given week.

Adopt a Highway

Twice a year, there is an opportunity for a small group of students to clean up the side of the road on barrington rd, from mundhank down to the movie theater. This serve lasts about 2 hours, and must be accompanied by at least 2 adults.

Elgin Soup Kitchen

The Soup Kitchen is a great opportunity for students and leaders to serve the homeless in Elgin. You meet at the location in Elgin, prepare a meal for about 50 people, and together you serve and eat with them. This serve lasts from 4-7pm and is on the 3rd monday of every month.
